Lots of News!!!
The Twitty Fever Band is currently
looking for more sponsor's for the 2006 season. If you own a business
or are just a follower/supporter of the band and want to support us
please contact Dustin at the either contact point on the side of this
page. We have many people already on board please check our sponsor
page to see them. Even without owning a business some of our fans have
expressed interest in sponsoring just to help us out. It takes a lot of
money to maintain our equipment and upgrade to new things and anyone
willing to sponsor would be greatly appreciated. I will be happy to
send anyone a form of what you are entitled to as a sponsor if you are
interested. If you do own a business this is a very cheap way to
advertise your business all over the Lehigh Valley and attract
customers.
Please make a note that our web site
has changed to www.twittyfever.com we will be changing to this
permanently this year. Please bookmark this now because I will be
shutting this one down.
We
are excited about our Christmas show coming up on December 3, 2005.
Things are coming together quite nicely and I'm sure you will enjoy it.
We are going to have a nice big raffle with all kinds of sports items,
tools and other great things even a big wooden sleigh built by John
Olewein. Thank you, John. Beth and I picked out a lot of things so we
will have several winners. We have lots of fun in store for everyone so
if you didn't get your tickets please call and reserve them now.
Will Hass our acoustic
player has retired form the band. Will traveled from below Philly every
week and it finally got the best of him. I would like to thank Will for
all the hard work he gave me and the memories he gave us all. Thank you
Will for a job well done.
I would like to welcome Kevin
O'Brien as our new acoustic player. He brings to our band a wealth of
knowledge in the music field. I am excited to get things started with
him this week and everyone will meet him December 3, 2005. Welcome
Kevin.
I would like to thank all of our
fans for supporting us in the 2005 show season. Without all of your
support we couldn't do what we all love to do. I hope you will continue
to follow us in 2006. Thanks for giving us a great year.
Thank
you to all the Venues that believe in us and bring us back year after
year. I have been working with the same people year after year and I
would like to thank you for believing in us and not trying to fix what
isn't broke. We have some changes happening to our 2006 schedule and
welcome and new venues into our family. Thank you to all our
venues for letting us be a part of your event.
Please email me if you would like to
become part of our email list. We are compiling emails so we can send
updates to our fans at a click of a button. Your email will be kept
private and will not show up on the email list or be sold or given to
anyone else. It is strictly for our use to communicate with you cheaper
and faster.
Also
don't forget to sign our guest book with your thoughts and comments

August
17, 2004: BIG NEWS
On August
15, 2004 Michael Twitty the son of Conway Twitty performed at Carbon
County Fair in Little Gap, PA. In front of a capacity crowd he
announced that he had nothing to do with the changing of our name from
"The Twitty Fever Band" to "Dave Rehrig and the Fever Band". He
expressed to Donna, Dave and Dustin in his bus before the show that it
was his former manager that went behind his back and told us that he
wanted us to change our name. He told the crowd that he will do
whatever it'll take to get our name back to "Twitty Fever". Michael
touched the hearts of many people that night by telling the crowd that
we are very close to his family and have only been trying to keep the
memory of his father alive and that he knows Conway would want our name
to stay and not be changed. Our name was "Twitty Fever" for the
past 24 years and we will be glad to look at options to change it back.
Thanks again Michael your daddy would be proud, Love "Twitty Fever"
February 12, 2004:
Our new Web Site is almost up and
running, we are having it designed now. I was waiting for the new site
to be working before I post the schedule, I will have to post it on
this site some time this week. Please book mark the new site so you can
keep checking it's current operation. www.thefeverband.com Also
email me Dustin Rehrig if you want to be put on our email mailing list.
November 24, 2003:
We are happy to announce that
we've hired all of our new players. These musicians are fantastic!!
It's great to be back in action!! We only had 4 rehearsals and the band
is sounding great. The shows are filling up fast for the upcoming
season and we can't wait to get back on the road. Can't wait to see
everyone at the Diamond Fire Company on December 7, 2003. Have a Happy
Thanksgiving!!
October 8, 2003:
We are still
accepting auditions for Bass, Keyboard & Rhythm Players. If
interested email Dustin Rehrig.
October 8, 2003:
We are looking
forward to starting our next concert season. We are auditioning many
people and meeting many fabulous musicians. We should have most of the
new musicians in place by our December 7, 2003 show at Diamond Fire
Company in Walnutport.
October 8, 2003:
Our 2004 season
is booking very quickly. We have many shows on the slate already. We
also have new shows booked and have some more in the works.
October 8, 2003:
The really
exciting feature about 2004 is our name change. Our new name will be
"Dave Rehrig & The Fever Band". The reason for this change is
Michael Twitty is also performing a tribute in memory of his father
Conway. Because of the popularity of both of our shows people are
getting us confused with him and likewise. Since my dad was such good
friends with Conway we decided to honor Michael's wishes and change our
name. After all Michael is touring the country and were only touring
PA.
It's hard for everyone to get over the fact that we are changing our
name after 24 years of having "Twitty Fever Band", but we are looking
forward to the new name. We are in the process of designing a new logo
and working close with a marketing company to come up with new
merchandise.
October 8, 2003:
Keep watching
for our new merchandise page to become available. We are in the process
of making a page the will enable you to buy our new products online and
have them shipped to your house. This way when we start our first
outside show you'll already have your products.
